Content and Takedown Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. Our approach
RateDiJob hosts the opinions and experiences of workers about employers. We do not write the reviews, and we do not verify them. They are the personal views of the people who post them.
We protect honest opinion and experience, and we remove content that crosses a clear line into a false statement of fact, or that breaks our rules. This policy explains that line and how to raise a concern.
2. Two ways to raise a concern
Report a problem (quick, anonymous)
Anyone can report a review that breaks our rules, for example spam, naming or identifying an individual, harassment, or hateful content. No contact details are needed. Use the report option on the review.
Request removal (formal)
If you are an employer, or otherwise affected, and you believe a specific review contains a false statement of fact about you, you can make a formal removal request. This requires the details in section 4, including your contact information, so that we can respond to you.
Removal requests are about a single, specific review. We do not remove an entire company page on request.
3. The line we apply: opinion versus fact
We keep:
- Opinions and personal experiences, even strongly negative ones. For example, “management could have communicated better,” or “I felt underpaid for the work.”
We may remove:
- Specific statements presented as fact that are false and can be shown to be false.
We also remove content that names or identifies an individual, contains personal or contact data, or is hateful, harassing, or unlawful, regardless of the opinion-or-fact question.
A review is not removed simply because it is unflattering, or because the employer disagrees with it. Negative opinion is protected.
4. How to make a formal removal request
So that we can act fairly and quickly, a removal request must include all of the following:
- The specific review. Use the removal request link on the review itself, so we know exactly which one you mean.
- The exact words you say are false. Quote the specific statement, not the whole review.
- Why it is a false statement of fact. Explain why the quoted words are a statement of fact rather than an opinion, and why that fact is untrue.
- Evidence. Provide or describe the evidence that shows the statement is false.
- Your details. Your name, your role or relationship to the employer, and an email address where we can reach you.
- A declaration. A statement that the information in your request is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Requests that do not identify a specific false statement of fact, or that object only to negative opinion, will not lead to removal, although we will still respond.
5. What happens after you submit
- We acknowledge your request by email.
- We review it against the standard in section 3.
- We respond to you in writing with the outcome: the content removed, the content kept with a brief explanation, or a request for more information.
- We aim to respond within 48 hours.
- We record every report, every formal request, and the action taken, with dates, as part of our records.
6. Quick reports
A quick anonymous report is reviewed under the same standard. Because it carries no contact details, we cannot send you an outcome, but it enters the same queue and is acted on the same way.
7. How this fits with our other policies
This policy works alongside our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Where this policy and the Terms differ, the Terms govern.
8. Contact
To make a formal removal request, use the removal link on the review. For anything else about this policy, contact contactus@ratedijob.com.
