Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RateDiJob is run by Vargon LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA. We decide how your data is handled, so in data-protection law we are the “data controller.” You can reach us at contactus@ratedijob.com.

2. The short version

• We do not ask for your name, email, or an account.
• We keep very little, and we scramble what we keep so it cannot be read.
• We delete the technical data quickly.

3. What we collect

• Your review: the rating, the tags, and any text you write.
• A hashed token: a scrambled code from a small cookie, used to stop the same person reviewing the same company twice.
• A hashed IP address: a scrambled version of your internet address, used to catch spam and abuse.

“Hashed” means turned into a scrambled code that cannot be read back into the original.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or an account. We never ask for them.

4. Why we collect it

• To show your review.
• To stop spam, abuse, and double reviews.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running RateDiJob safely, together with your agreement when you post. “Legitimate interest” is a lawful reason to handle data when it is needed to run the service and does not override your rights.

5. How long we keep it

• Hashed IP address: deleted after 7 days.
• Hashed token: kept for up to 180 days, then removed, so the review can no longer be linked back to it.
• Your review text: stays on the site, because it is the content other workers read. It carries no personal identifier.

6. Keeping it safe and small

• We collect as little as possible.
• We scramble identifiers so they cannot be read.
• Some data is stored securely on servers outside Jamaica.

7. The honest limits of anonymity

We do not know who you are, and we do not try to find out. But no online service is perfectly anonymous, and the technical data above does exist for a short time.

The safest step is yours: do not put anything in a review that could identify you, such as your name, your exact role, or your department.

8. Your rights

Jamaica's Data Protection Act 2020 gives you rights over your personal data. These include the right to see it, correct it, or ask us to delete it.

In practice, RateDiJob does not collect information that identifies you. There is no account and no name on file. So in most cases there is nothing personal for us to show or delete, because we never held it. If you believe we hold something about you, contact us at contactus@ratedijob.com.

9. Cookies

We use one small cookie to create the hashed token that stops double reviews. It does not follow you around the web.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
